HI !

My name is Cynthia Kiesswetter and I am a visual artist from Switzerland, currently working and living in Schaffhausen. In my artistic practice, I focus mainly on painting at the moment.

My works emerge somewhere between attentiveness and drifting off. Thoughts, images, words — much of it passes by, some of it stays. And that’s exactly where my process begins. I am particularly interested in slowing down and cultivating awareness, both of my surroundings and my inner experiences. In a fast-paced reality shaped by constant stimulation and distraction, intentional stillness becomes not just a practice but a necessity. Starting points can be emotions, visuals, topics, sounds or spoken phrases. The continuous stream of impulses manifests in an endless list of notes.

Painting and artistic creation have been very central to me since childhood and have accompanied me through all stages of my life so far. I have had the opportunity to follow this passion further and have completed my Fine Arts studies in Zurich in spring of 2025.
